Biography

Professor Jean-Paul Praud is a pediatrician specializing in pneumology. He is also the head of the Pediatric and Pediatric Health Research Unit at the Étienne-Le Bel Clinical Research Center of the Center hospitalier universitaire de Sherbrooke. Praud's research interests are directly linked to his Extensive clinical expertise in upper airway function in the neonatal period and its clinical activities which include daily care for newborn infants suffering from premature apnea or severe unexpected discomfort of the infant and follow-up of families of deceased infants Of the sudden death syndrome.

Research Intrest

The primary research objective of Pr. Praud's team is to better understand the control of breathing and cardiac activity in order to improve the treatment of apneas of prematurity and prevent Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
