Biography

Prasanna R Kolatkar obtained his PhD from the University of Texas at Austin in Chemistry and Biochemistry. He then joined Michael G Rossmann's laboratory as a post-doctoral scientist at Purdue University where he was funded by a Jane Coffin Childs Post-doctoral Fellowship.

Research Intrest

The combinatorial code for transcription factors (TFs) controlling cell fate. Using biochemical and biophysical methods I hope to find how different TFs combine to carry out diverse cell fates such as pluripotency and differentiation , especially towards B islet cell development.
