Biography

Peter Lin, PhD (Johns Hopkins University), Professor of Biology, joined Barry in 1993 after completing post-doctoral training at the University of Florida's Whitney Marine Laboratory in St. Augustine, FL. Dr. Lin is a molecular biologist/endocrinologist who studies reproductive biology in fish and amphibians and uses these accessible model systems as a training tool for his undergraduate researchers. His research involves the elucidation of the molecular and biological mechanisms by which gonadotropins, gonadal peptides, and steroids control episodic reproductive activities in vertebrates. He teaches upper-level biology courses: Genetics, Bioinformatics, and Cell Biology.
