Biography

Professor Cenek joined the Bradley University nursing faculty in 2006.  Prior to that time he worked as an Advanced Practice Nurse - Clinical Nurse Specialist with Neurosurgery at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.  His clinical experiences include rehabilitation nursing and critical care nursing. He was a member of Peoria's 40 Leaders Under Forty Class of 2007. He received the College of Education and Health Sciences Dr. Joan L. Sattler Endowed Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching. His Current research interests include coping within the spinal cord injury population. He is a past recipient of the Dr. Joseph S. Solovy Award for “Recognizing Outstanding Commitment to Improving Community Health”. Peter earned his BSN (1996) from Bradley University with minors in psychology and health. He received his MSN (2004) from Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing in Peoria. He is a Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse (CNRN).
