Biography

He holds a degree in Natural History from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1962), a degree in Didactics from the Federal University of Pernambuco (1964), a Master's degree in Parasitology from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1974) and a PhD in Parasitology from the Federal University of Minas Gerais 1981). He is currently a retired professor at the Federal University of Minas Gerais, an institution where he continues to carry out research and teaching activities in the Postgraduate Program in Parasitology, and on July 3, 2003, granted him the title of professor emeritus. He is also a Fellow (1A) of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development and an honorary member of the Brazilian Society of Parasitology. Has experience in the area of ​​Parasitology, with emphasis on Entomology and Malacology of Parasites and Vectors.
