Biography

Prof/Dr. Patricia O Brien is completed her PhD in university of Chicago. Currently she is working as Professor in Waterloo University. She have completed her Administravtive responsibilities as Ernst & Young Professor of Accounting, Approved Doctoral Dissertation Supervisor, Financial Accounting. She is also working as Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants - Academic Advisory Committee member, 2005 - present. Editor-in-Chief, Contemporary Accounting Research, 2013-present, Associate Editor, Contemporary Accounting Research, 2001 – 2010.

Research Intrest

Corporate disclosure and financial reporting, and their effects on capital markets. I am particularly interested in the role played by financial analysts as information intermediaries.
