The professor. Paolo Corradini is the director of the Institute of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology-hematology. Since the beginning of her career, Prof. Corradini has been carrying out clinical and molecular research in the field of hematologic neoplasms, particularly in multiple myeloma and non-Hodgkin lymphomas. It has developed innovative laboratory methods for molecular monitoring of the minimum residual disease in multiple myeloma, lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia. He has taken part and participated in important Italian and international studies for the innovative treatment of lymphomas, multiple myeloma, leukemia and myeloproliferative diseases.Prof. Corradini is in fact author or co-author of more than 150 publications in international journals, numerous reviews on treatment of non-Hodgkin lymphomas, multiple myeloma and allogeneic transplantation and a textbook of Hematology for the faculty of Medicine. He is a member of major international hematology and transplant societies, and has been president of the Italian Society of Experimental Hematology. He teaches as an Ordinary Professor of Hematology at the University of Milan, is Director of the School of Specialization in Hematology, and coordinator of the PhD in Experimental Hematology.
Molecular pathogenesis of multiple myeloma: i) genomics and liquid biopsy; ii) prognostic implications of molecular lesions; iii) analysis of immunoglobulin genes in B cells related to the malignant clone, Development and applications of PCR-based methods for the detection of minimal residual disease in B-cell malignancies, Allogeneic transplantation using reduced intensity conditioning regimens in lymphoid tumors, New treatment protocols for patients with multiple myeloma and peripheral T-cell lymphomas, Allogeneic transplantation of haploidentical hematopoietic stem cells in lymphoid malignancies.
