Until 2000 he collaborated in diagnostics and research activities in all fields of pathology related to the pathology anatomy of the National Institute of Tumors in Milan. He has focused on endocrine and neuroendocrine pathology, thyroid disease, pediatric disease, and rare tumors. Since 2001 he has been referring to pediatric oncology pathology in the routine and research activities of the Department of Pathology Diagnostics and Laboratory of the National Cancer Institute of Milan. Since 2005 he has been referring to the pathology of soft tissues and adult bone within the routine and research activities of the Department of Diagnostic Pathology and Laboratory of the National Cancer Institute of Milan. Since 2003 he has been responsible for the anatomy-pathological part of the Italian Study Group for Pediatric Renal Tumors and is currently the Italian representative of anatomopatologists in the European Group for Pediatric Kidney Cancer.
There are several local, national and international collaborations on various research projects on soft tissue, bone and pediatric tumors.
