Panteleimon Kelliris is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering. He received his first degree in Physics from the University of Athens and his Ph.D. in Solid State Theory Physics from the State University of New York (USA). He then worked as a postdoctoral researcher at IBM's TJ Watson Research Center at Yorktown Heights, New York (USA). He taught for several years at the Department of Physics of the University of Crete, reaching the highest academic rank of Professor.
His research interests include: Computational Science of Materials - Physics of Concentrated Materials. Study of structural and optoelectronic properties of crystalline, amorphous and nanostructured semiconductors with Monte Carlo simulations and Molecular Dynamic Strong Engagement.
