Biography

Born in Ankara in 1978, Prof. Pala finished middle and high school at TED Ankara College. After graduating in biology from Ankara University Faculty of Science in 2001, she completed her masters degree in biology at Gazi University Institute of Science and Technology in 2007. She then worked for 5 years in the routine diagnostic laboratory of the clinical genetics department at Gazi University Medical School where she gained experience in many laboratory practices. In 2010 she started studying for her doctorate degree in clinical biology at Gaziantep University Medical School and completed it in 2014. During this time she was involved in many research projects which were published in national and international peer-reviewed journals. In August 2014 Prof. Pala joined the academic staff in the clinical biology department of SANKO University Medical School. Her interests and hobbies include cytogenetics, cancer genetics, the genetics of inflammation, traveling and reading. She is married, with two daughters called Pırıl and Duru, and speaks good English.
