Biography

Dr. Johnson received her BSN from the University of Alabama Capstone College of Nursing in 1996 and a MSN in 2001 from the Capstone College of Nursing. In 2013, Dr. Johnson earned her Ph.D. from the University of Alabama/University of Alabama at Birmingham in Health Education and Health Promotion.

Research Intrest

Dr. Johnson has extensive experience in clinical research conducting trials in the areas of hypertension, diabetes, osteoarthritis, depression, bipolar disease, and post-operative pain management. She received certification as a certified clinical research coordinator in 2003. Most recently, Dr. Johnson’s clinical focus has been in community and public health nursing.
