Research Intrest

Asymmetric Catalysis:  Design and development of chiral Brønsted acid and N-heterocyclic carbene catalysts.  Applications of asymmetric organotransformations in Asymmetric Kabachnik-Fields reaction, Strecker reaction, Petasis-borano Mannich reation and aza-Dields reactions. Heterogeneous Catalysis:  Design and synthesis of novel metal-N-heterocyclic carbenes: Applications to C-C, C-N bond formations via Suziki, Sonogashira, Heck and Buchwald coupling reactions.  Development of Efficient Multicomponent Reaction Methodologies Using Titania Nanostructures as Solid-acid Catalysts and Catalyst Supports. Bio-Organic Chemistry:  Design and synthesis of bio-Active organophosphorus heterocycles bearing five to eight-membered ring systems.
