Biography

Dr. P. Lynn Kennedy is currently working as Assistant Professor in Louisiana State University in Agricultural Economics & Agribusiness department. He pursued Ph.D., Agricultural and Applied Economics, The University of Minnesota, St. Paul, Minnesota; M.S. Agricultural Economics, The University of Oxford, Oxford, England; B.S. with high distinction, Agricultural Economics, Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colorado; A.A. Agriculture, Northeastern Junior College, Sterling, Colorado.

Research Intrest

Research is being conducted to assess the impacts and analyze the structural adjustments resulting from trade liberalization and economic integration on U.S. trade in agricultural commodities of importance to Louisiana and the United States; assess the international competitiveness of major commodities of importance to Louisiana, the Southern United States, and the United States based on factors such as policy changes, resource endowments, environmental regulations, product quality standards, and other economic, political, and cultural factors affecting both supply and demand; and analyze the effects of United States and competitor country commercial and domestic policies on international trade in commodities important to Louisiana, the Southern United States, and the United States including policies related not only to the agricultural sector, but also to macroeconomic and monetary policies.
