Experienced scientist, manager and programme leader. I have specialised in cell biology, molecular biology techniques applying those skills to 'drugable' targets in the field of immunology. I have experience throughout the drug development process from target identification through lead optimisation, 'committ to Man' and gaining GSK approval as well as preparing for regulatory submissions for FTIH studies . I have run numerous matrixed programme teams and have lead teams of in vitro and in vivo biologists. My experience has included many different target classes such as enzymes and kinases, GPCR's, nuclear receptors and epigenetic targets. In my current role I am project leader for a parenteral formulation of an existing clinical asset and a translational biologist for an oral asset, both progressing for immune-inflammatory indications. Also, as a biology discovery leader (BDL), I develop biology strategy for epigenetic modifiers progressing for immuno-inflammatory and oncology indications.
Specialties: My key skills include an ability to prioritise activities, identify and communicate the critical path to key decision points and build happy, efficient teams that deliver.
