Firstly graduated from Staffordshire University with a BSc, and later a PhD in Environmental Science.completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Higher and Professional Education. Working and teaching in multidisciplinary subject areas has placed in an excellent position to be the Programme Advisor for the Science Foundation Year. In this role he had been involved in the design validation and organization of a programme of awards attracting students both nationally and internationally.
Previously this has included analytical and industrial method development, mainly related to pollution abatement. More recently this has widened to include a range of Forensic applications of chemical analysis (including environmental forensics).
