N. Sakthivel major research interests focus on microbial metabolites, enzymes and bionanomaterials and their biotechnological applications. He has been particularly interested to explore the potential of plant-growth promoting rhizobacterial strains of fluorescent pseudomonads and bacilli for sustainable agriculture and also to understand their genetic and functional diversity.
