Biography

N. Arumugam obtained graduation and post-graduation from University of Madras and Ph.D. from University of Delhi. He currently holds as an Associate Professor in the Department of Biotechnology, School of Life Sciences at Pondicherry University. He has 8 years of teaching experience and 23 years of Research experience. He mostly aims on the topic Genetic Manipulation of Crop plants, Molecular Plant Breeding. He has handled several projects such as Development of High Oleic Sesamum indicum L. (Gingelley) by Genetic Engineering granted by CSIR and Evaluation and Production of Secondary Metabolites of Spilanthes acmella L – A valuable medicinal Plant granted by UGC.
