Biography

Born and completed my Master's degree (gold medallist) in Pakistan. After working in the pharmaceutical industry for 5 years, I decided to do PhD. I went to Japan for my PhD, which I completed in March 2005. Japan is a wonderful country, a very homogenous blend of old and new culture and traditions. In Sep. 2007, I came to UK to join the Cell Imaging Centre of the School of Biological Sciences. These days I am heavily involved in a drug discovery and translational research at the Liverpool NIHR Pancreas Biomedical Research Unit (PBRU). Moreover, I manage state-of-the-art confocal microscopy and also give training and helping students and researchers for imaging live and fixed cells and tissues under the confocal at the PBRU.
