Dr. Mohamad Mustafa is a professor and the chair of the engineering technology department at Savannah State University (SSU). He started his career as an educator at SSU in fall 1994. Prior to his education career Dr. Mustafa worked in the industry as a civil engineer for six years. He received his BS, MS, and PhD in Civil Engineering from Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Mustafa has been actively involved in curriculum development and managing external funding grants. Currently he is the campus coordinator for the NSF PSLSAMP grant and the Co-PI for the NSF NOYCE grant. Dr. Mustafa also worked on UNITE projects that dealt with K9-12 outreach programs. Dr. Mustafa has several publications and professional presentations in the American Society of Engineering Education. Dr. Mustafa mentored several undergraduate research students that led to presentations and publications in several conferences. His students won several awards
