In October 1994, following his legal internship, he started working as a research assistant at the newly founded Kocaeli University Law Faculty Civil Law Department from where he was transferred to Marmara University Law Faculty in 1995. In 2000, he completed his Ph.D. in private law at Marmara University with his thesis entitled “Türk-Ä°sviçre Borçlar Hukukunda Vekilin Özen Borcu” (Surrogate’s Duty of Care in Turkish and Swiss Law of Obligations). He became associate professor in 2006. He taught at Yeditepe University Law Faculty until February, 2012. He became professor in civil law at ÖzyeÄŸin University Law Faculty where he worked for a year. He serves as a full time professor at Ä°stanbul Åžehir University Law Faculty since April 2013.
