Dr. Wysocki graduated with a degree in medicine from Warsaw Medical University. In 1971–72, he was WHO Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Epidemiology and Social Medicine of St. Thomas’s Hospital Medical School, London, UK. In 2007, Prof. Wysocki was Acting Director and since 2010 until February 2015, Director of the National Institute of Public Health – NIH, Warsaw. In October 2015 he was again nominated by the Minister of Health for the post of Director of NIPH – NIH.
