Mindy Blackwell, MS, CCP, has been an assistant professor and the director of the cardiovascular perfusion academic program since she joined Rush in 2014. She has been a perfusionist for 25 years; her research interests include anticoagulation in pediatric mechanical circulatory support and the science of learning. Blackwell enjoys teaching in the classroom and clinical environments and helping students discover and grasp new concepts and skills.
