Biography

Miloslav Vojtech, PhD., Studied Slovak language and literature and history at the Faculty of Arts of Comenius University in Bratislava (1996). After completing his studies he joined the Department of Slovak Literature and Literary Science at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Charles University as an internal doctoral student. Since 1998 he has worked as an assistant at the Department and since 1999 as an assistant professor. In 1999, he defended his rigorous thesis and obtained the PhDr. Degree, in 2001 he graduated from Ph.D. and received a PhD degree. In 2005 he became Associate Professor in the Theory and History of Slovak Literature. It deals with the history of Slovak literature of the 19th century, history of literary historiography and methodology of literary history. He has participated in solving a number of scientific and editorial projects. He is the Deputy Director of Studia Academica Slovaca - Center for Slovak as a Foreign Language, member of the Council of the Slovak Association of Slovak Teachers and a member of editorial boards of several scientific journals published at home and abroad. Since 2011 he has been Vice-dean for Bachelor and Master's Studies.
