Professor Maus has taught in higher education, both in an online and seated environment. Her career in higher education originated as an adjunct instructor in 2005. Her full-time position at Tiffin University began in 2010. She teaches business and healthcare administration courses. She developed the Associates Degree in Business with a specialization in Healthcare Administration, the Bachelors Degree in Business with a specialization in Healthcare Administration, and is currently constructing the Bachelor's of Science Degree of Healthcare Administration for Tiffin University. She has had the opportunity to work in the healthcare industry since 1991 in a variety of different capacities within hospitals, a non-profit organization, in the medical employment industry, and for a highly specialized laboratory testing facility. During her tenure at On Assignment, Inc., she received the prestigious honor of President's Club affiliation twice for outstanding marketing and sales performance. Professor Maus has acted as a reviewer for a health insurance textbook published in 2014, a peer reviewer for the annual American Public Health Association conference, and recently presented at an international conference concerning the use of supplemental instruction within an online learning environment in Orlando, FL.
