Biography

Dr. Michael Deliberto is currently working as Assistant Professor in Louisiana State University in Agricultural Economics & Agribusiness department. Agricultural Economics, Louisiana State University and A&M College, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, May 2007.B.S.F. Forestry, Forest Management Concentration. Louisiana State University and A&M College, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, December 2004. His research interests are Agricultural Policy, Farm Management, Farm Bill Commodity Title Analysis etc.

Research Intrest

General responsibilities include conducting applied research and extension economics in the areas of farm management, agricultural policy, and production economics for cotton, rice, and sugarcane crops produced in Louisiana. The principle focus of the research is to provide agricultural producers in Louisiana with detailed reports, including web-based business decision tools, which emphasize economic aspects of farm budgeting along with management strategies on a commodity specific basis. These duties include but are not limited to: co-authoring annual projected enterprise cost and return budgets; evaluating farm bill provisions and commodity programs; and crop insurance products afforded to producers.
