Biography

Metody Baykushev teaches the second-year Business Law course of the Bachelor’s program. Having been invited for several years in a row as a guest lecturer at the Executive MBA class of AUBG, he has recently decided to devote more of his time and energy to academic activities. Mr. Baykushev has previous teaching experience as an Instructor in Civil Procedure Law at the South-West University Neofit Rilski, Blagoevgrad. He holds a master’s degree in law from Sofia University and has more than 12 years of legal practice. Besides his work in commercial disputes resolution – commercial litigation and arbitration, including international arbitration and state court litigation with international elements, Mr. Baykushev is experienced in the area of commercial contracts (including international sale of goods), debt collection, insolvency proceedings, public procurement, construction law, administrative and regulatory litigation, and medical malpractice. He has also worked on M&A transactions, bank regulations and collaterals, corporate and regulatory affairs, competition, tax issues in various industries, energy law, real estate transactions. Mr. Baykushev combines his teaching activities with his commitments as a partner in Dimitrov, Petrov & Co. Law Firm, Sofia, and a secretary general of the National Committee in Bulgaria of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
