Mehmet Fatih Aysan is Assistant Professor of Sociology. He earned his PhD from University of Western Ontario (2011) and thought Sociology in the same university (2010-2012). His sociological interests are rooted at the intersection of sociology of work, demography, and social policy. His study centers on how labour markets and social policies combine to influence welfare of societies. His research is comparative with a focus on Europe, North America, and Middle East. His work is supported by the EU, IDRC, TUBITAK and has appeared in edited books and peer-reviewed journals such as Population and Development Review, Canadian Journal of Sociology, Economia&Lavoro, Routledge, and Springer.
