Md. Sahadat Alam was born in Gaibandha, Bangladesh on 1987. He completed his B. Sc. (Hons.) and M. S. (Thesis) in Physics from Jahangirnagar University. He secured CGPA 3.80 out of 4 (1st position in order of merit) in B. Sc. (Hons.) and GPA 3.96 out of 4 in M. S. (Thesis) Examinations. He successfully completed his M. S. thesis under the direct supervision of Prof. Dr. A A Mamun. His thesis was mainly concerned with nonlinear waves in both space and laboratory plasmas. After completing M. S. he joined as a Lecturer in Physics at Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University, Tangail, Bangladesh. Currently, he is working as a Assistant Professor of Physics at Jahangirnagar University. He has already published 21 articles in various prestigious peer-reviewed international journals viz. Chaos (AIP Publishing); Physics of Plasmas (AIP Publishing); Astrophysics and Space Science (Springer Publishing); IEEE Transactions on Plasma Science (IEEE Publishing); Chinese Physics B (IOP Publishing); The European Physical Journal Plus (Springer Publishing); Communications in Theoretical Physics (IOP Publishing); Plasma Physics Reports (Springer Publishing); etc. He attended the 65th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting-2015 at Lindau, Germany as an young researcher with 65 Nobel Laureates and 650 young researchers. He obtained the Amina Ainuddin Memorial Scholarship-2011 and Salahuddin Chowdhury Memorial Scholarship-2011 for securing 1st position in B.Sc. (Hons.) examination 2011.
