Biography

Mazhar Iqbal obtained his Ph.D. from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam) The Netherlands. He currently holds as an Assistance Professor in Department of Environmental Sciences at Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad. His Research interest mainly involved Environmental Biotechnology and Bioremediation, Heavy Metal Toxicity and tolerance/accumulation mechanisms in plants, Phytoremediation, Identification of molecular mechanisms for heavy metal tolerance and accumulation and transfer of these mechanisms to high biomass plants or agricultural crops.
