Maureen Fatiaki Karan has worked for various organisations before joining the School of Management and Public Administration as a tutor in the year 2009. The organisations include TransTel Fiji Limited, Tapoo Group of companies and The University of the South Pacific - Quality Office. She occupied positions such as marketing and human resource management officer, services marketing manager and sales manager for Pacific Electronic Commerce (Subsidiary of TransTel). Since her BA graduation in April 2004, she has been a part-time tutor, a Graduate Assistant from 2005-2006 and one of the team members that took the University of the South Pacific through its first Quality Audit in its 40 years of existence. She completed her Post Graduate Diploma in 2005 and did her Master of Commerce thesis on a part-time basis in 2009 while working for the Quality office. She is currently employed as an Assistant Lecturer by the School of Management and Public Administration and is pursuing her studies further by doing her PHD.
