Biography

Dr. Matthew Garston is a Professor at the College, where he teaches clinical-based primary care, and is a senior staff optometrist at MIT. In addition, he is a founding fellow of the Optometric Retina Society, a member of the American Optometric Association and American Academy of Optometry since 1968, and has served as clinical faculty for the NECO Clinical Network Contact Lens Service for the past 30 years. Dr. Garston received a BA from Colby College and OD from the then Massachusetts College of Optometry. Dr. Garston received the 2013 MIT Medical Department Award for Clinical Excellence.
