Biography

  Full Professor of Neurology since 1995 (Paris Descartes University) Head of the Stroke Unit and Neurological Department of the Saint-Joseph Hospital in Paris, France, since 2006 Past experience: - Past - president of the French Neurovascular Society (2009-11). - Past-president of the France-AVC association’s scientific committee (national French association for stroke patients). - Current president of the National College of Neurological University Teachers (since 2014) and responsible for pedagogical initiatives (including textbooks) in the field of neurology. - Member of national and international neurological societies: French Neurological Society, French Neurovascular Society, European Stroke Organization, World Stroke Organization. - Member of the steering committee of the French Ministerial Plan 2010-2014 against stroke. -Reviewer for international revues (Stroke, Cerebrovasc Dis, Neurology, J Neurol, J Neurol and Psychiatry…). Research and expertise - Investigator for numerous national and international institutional/industrial studies - Member of the National board of examiners for institutional medical research projects (2014-15) - Member of the Board for the organization of the annual “Journées de Neurologie de Langue Française” - Teaching courses at the medical university and for numerous trainings - Teaching courses in international congresses and universities (Viet Nam, Tunisia, etc…) - Author of more than 200 articles/chapters in the field of neurological diseases
