Biography

Award Leader: Spatial & Interior Designer. Founding member: Estranged Space, transdisciplinary research through site-responsive installation.

Research Intrest

Emmett studied art at Central Saint Martins, architecture at the Bartlett School of Architecture and Architectural Association, and music at Karlheinz Stockhausen's Sound Interpretation and Composition Workshop, Kurten in 2007. Emmett has worked with the architectural theorist Charles Jencks and in 2013 he completed his Doctorate of Philosophy in situated cognition, where Emmett developed a new style of critical architecture that extends the understanding of feedback systems within psychotropic dimensions. Emmett is an Associate Professor at Plymouth University, where he is researching the interface between science and art. Emmett's research spans architecture, performative practice, sound and cognition.
