Biography

 Masoud Cheraghi Seifabad spent much of his youth in Masjed-e-Solaiman, Khuzestan, in southwest Iran. He then moved to Isfahan to follow the mathematics branch of study at Hakim Senaei high school for two years before receiving his diploma from Kharazmi in Tehran. Masoud received his Masters degree from the faculty of Engineering at University of Tehran and earned his PhD in Rock Mechanics at University of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, in 1992.
