Biography

Dr. Mark W. Frear joined AUD in January of 2017. Previously, he taught in Qatar, New Zealand, and Taiwan. His PhD. is in Applied Linguistics, focusing on writing development. Dr. Frear teaches academic writing, critical thinking, and research skills. His areas of research are the development of complex written language, the effects of planning time on writing complexity, and the relationships between task complexity, motivation, and complex language.
