Biography

I am an eco-geochemist: an aqueous geochemist by training with an interest in the interactions between ecology, geochemistry and hydrology in freshwater systems. As a research scientist, my goal is both to advance basic understanding and to provide tools and concepts to aid in the sustainable use, management and restoration of water resources and aquatic ecosystems.

Research Intrest

Hydro-bio-geochemical controls on the sources and cycling of solutes in freshwater ecosystems; Reciprocal interactions between ecosystem function and solute availability, transport and retention; Groundwater-surface water interactions; Linking catchment-scale patterns in solute and ecosystem dynamics to process understanding; (Adaptive) management of water resources and aquatic ecosystems.
