Biography

Marie Bengtsson is an Associate Professor in Plant Protection Ecology - Special Chemical Ecology, SLU 1994. He was a University Lecturer in Chemistry, SLU 2007. He is an organic chemist and study mainly volatile substances that are given by insects, plants and microbes. He did Philosophy of Chemistry in Lund University, 1980 and Philosophy of Physical Chemistry, Lund University 1988.

Research Intrest

Difference in biological attraction between different yeast species; Coding of food and sexual dysfunctions in the nervous system of Drosophila; Relationship between physiological status and scented perception of pests; Fascinating species richness in apple microbiota.
