Biography

Maria obtained her B.S. in Tourism Management from the Far Eastern University in the Philippines. In 2011 after graduating from college, she worked for an airline as ground staff providing exceptional customer service and achieved a promotion to lead agent within her first year.   Moreover, prior to joining AUD, she worked in one of the leading hotels in Dubai as a Front Desk Switchboard Operator in which she learned profound knowledge and skills within front and back office roles. From her experiences, she has proven her ability to provide excellent customer service and maintain good customer relationships. She says, “It is more about connecting with people, whether that be your customers, guests, or co-workers, I think analytical skills and the art of using languages to persuade or influence others are important.” In July 2017, she joined the American University in Dubai as an Administrative Assistant in the School of Architecture, Art and Design.  She is an artist at heart and loves to be creative.  She likes to design and decorate specifically for celebrations and events.  To develop her personality and passion in art, she always participates in any activities or events that she has the opportunity to get involved with. Joining the School of Architecture, Art and Design was a perfect fit for her as she gets to work amongst fellow artists whilst doing what she does best, providing excellent front and back office support. She also love traveling to many different destinations to learn about different cultures and to see the world.
