Ms. Chin is a pediatric nurse practitioner in Jacobi’s Asthma and Allergy Center for Children (JAAC). She is currently a board-certified Asthma Educator, and has attained specific training and certification in the preparation of allergic extracts for the practice of Specific Allergy Immunotherapy at JAAC. She provides comprehensive integrated clinical care and education for caregivers and their children with asthma and allergic conditions. Between 1996 -2003, Ms. Chin worked as a clinical research nurse for NIH grant-sponsored Pediatric Aids Clinical Trials, and participated in several pivotal pharmaceutical company sponsored investigational drugs trials for children with HIV. She continues to have a keen interest in research and has been a sub-investigator for a grant-sponsored asthma clinical trial focusing on the genetics of asthma in Latin- American children, and recently completed a pilot study that investigated the early use of allergy immunotherapy in young children.
