Full Professor at the Autonomous University of Madrid and Doctor of Economics from the European University Institute of Florence. He is an expert in Macroeconomics and Labor Economics with particular emphasis on Search Theory whose pioneers were awarded the Nobel Prize in 2010. Marcel Jansen has collaborated since 2009 with FEDEA and has been a consultant to the Inter-American Development Bank and the OECD in matters such as Collective bargaining and youth unemployment. He has numerous publications in scientific journals of international prestige.
