Mahmoud Mohamed Shendi did his bachelor in Soil Science - Faculty of Agriculture - Cairo University - Egypt. - 1978. he did masters in Pedological studies on soils adjacent to Qarun lake - Fayoum Governorate - Egypt-1984. he did Diploma in Soil Survey using Aerospace Remote Sensing Techniques - ITC - Enschede - The Netherlands - 1988. He completed his post doctorate in mineralogical aspects of soil sediments with special references to both lithology and environmental conditions of formation in Fayoum area - Egypt-1990. Again did masters in The application of remote sensing and soil survey in the establishment of a Geographic Information System for part of the Guadalhorce Catchment - Malaga - Spain.
