Maher is a Senior lecturer in Sport Biomechanics.
Maher's research areas are focused on the mechanical evaluation of different types of soccer shoes, and Isokinetic testing of muscular strength imbalance of the lower limbs in soccer players. This screening test is usually carried out to prevent injury and to monitor the progress of rehabilitation. Maher recently expanded his research into muscle architecture in young and old age subjects using ultrsonography.
