Full professor at the Federal University of Minas Gerais. Her main line of research aims to study the relationship between hemostatic and inflammatory systems in preeclampsia and in kidney disease, including dialysis and renal transplantation. She also works in research addressing women's health, focusing on hemostatic changes throughout the menstrual cycle, as well as addressing venous / arterial thrombosis and predisposing factors, bone marrow transplantation, Immunohematology and Clinical Analysis, and in L-Arginine-oxide nitric pathway laboratory/ oxidative stress investigation. She supervises MSc and PhD students in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Clinical Analysis and Genetics Post-graduation Programs/UFMG.
