Lorenza Gandola Graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1981 at the University of Pavia, where in 1986 he obtained a degree in Pediatric Specialization. In 1990 he obtained his diploma in Radiodiagnostic and Radiotherapy Specialization at the University of Milan. From August 1983 to September 1984 he worked as an Research Fellow at the Department of Hemopoietic Cell Kinetics of the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center of the Cancer Research Association (AIRC) New York, USA. From December 1985 to January 1990 he worked as Associate Researcher at Radiotherapy 1 of the National Institute of Tumors in Milan where he was able to develop his radiotherapy expertise and experience, particularly in pediatric radiotherapy and in the field of treatment radiant lymphomas. Since February 1990 he has been a Medical Manager at the same facility, with the post of Chief Operating Officer of Pediatric Radiotherapy Unit from 2000 to 2006, Pediatric Radiation Therapy Professional Specialist from 2007 to 2011 and Responsibility for Simple Pediatric Radiation Therapy from May 2011.
Radical treatment, within multidisciplinary care protocols, pediatric tumors, adolescents and young adults with typical pediatric tumors, is its main clinical and scientific interest.
