Biography

Dr. Liu Dong has long been engaged in bony fish biology research, including development, molecular genetics (zebrafish and Japanese medaka), molecular endocrinology (Pacific salmon trout) research, transgenic (Cyprinidae), gene editing technology (zebrafish ) Research and development. At the beginning of this century, we used model zebrafish to study the development of mechanosensory hair cells and its injury-regeneration mechanism, and tried to establish an effective human disease zebrafish model for the treatment of drug screening. We also use the method of nematode to explore the new ideas and new methods for studying non-coding RNA function and somatic cell development.

Research Intrest

1. Regeneration mechanism of zebrafish inner ear development and lateral ganglion neuronal injury 2. Establishment of zebrafish model of human disease 3. Develop new technologies
