Dr. Johnson is the Director of the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Program at La Salle University. She is a board certified Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and has worked in the areas of Palliative Care, Infectious Diseases, Hepatology, Gastroenterology and Bone Marrow Transplant. During her time as an RN she practiced in various ICU, transplant and trauma settings throughout the Northeast region. Dr. Johnson received her DrNP from Drexel University, MSN from the University of Massachusetts and a BSN from Wilkes University. Her doctoral dissertation was titled “An Ethnonursing Study of How African Americans Treatment Decisions at or Near End-of-Life Are Understood by Health Care Providers in a Tertiary Care Setting.” She has previously directed and taught in the AG-ACNP programs at Drexel University and DeSales University. Dr. Johnson is a member of the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculty, PA Coalition of Nurse Practitioner Task Force for Full Practice Campaign, Regional Representative for the State of Pennsylvania, Member of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Society, among other clinical professional organizations and advisory boards.
