Albert Li is Professor and Person-in-charge of the Respiratory Service in the Department of Paediatrics at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He qualified from the University of Wales College of Medicine and received postgraduate training at King’s College Hospital and the Great Ormond Street Hospital before joining the department of paediatrics at the Prince of Wales Hospital in 1998. He then took up an academic post with CUHK in 2001. Professor Li has established strong research interest in various aspects of respiratory medicine, including childhood asthma, bronchiolitis and sleep-related breathing disorders. He is Associate Editor of the Hong Kong Journal of Paediatrics and Frontiers in Paediatric Pulmonology, and editorial board member of Respirology. Professor Li is actively involved in the teaching of undergraduate medical students, and supervising postgraduate clinical and research trainees. He was awarded "Master Teacher" by CUHK for achieving five consecutive “Best Teacher of the Year” awards.
