Ólöf works as project manager for the Arts Education department as well as a project manager at the center for Quality enhancement, Teaching and Research at IAA. Ólöf graduated from Bifröst University with a MLM degree in Leadership and Management in 2016. Additionally Ólöf is a trained actress and drama teacher; she gratuated with a B.A. (Hons) degree at The Arts University Bournemouth in UK and a diploma in Arts Education from The Iceland Academy of the Arts.
