Biography

Researcher in Public Health at IOC / Fiocruz and professor of Post-Graduation in Computational and Systems Biology and Post-Graduation in Molecular and Cell Biology at Fiocruz-RJ, develops molecular, structural and cellular characterization of virulence factors in Klebsiella pneumoniae - that can be used as targets for the development of virulence inhibitors. Still, it collaborates in projects that aim at the understanding of mechanisms of pathogenicity of mycobacteria, as well as the identification of biomarkers for diseases caused by these bacteria. She was an associate professor in Biochemistry at UEZO and a visiting professor at the IBCCF / UFRJ. He holds a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (01/2005), Master's degree (2007) and PhD (2010) in Biophysics by the IBCCF / UFRJ and by the Latin American Post-Graduation in Biophysics (2010). He completed postdoctoral training at the Pasteur Institute in Paris (2010-2012) in Comparative Genomics.
