Biography

She holds a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1980) and a PhD in Biochemistry and Immunology from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1988). She is currently a professor at the Federal University of Minas Gerais. He has experience in Immunology, with emphasis in Cellular Immunology, working mainly on the following topics: immune response to intracellular parasites, mechanisms of resistance to intracellular parasites, gnotobiology, immunology of endodontic infections and probiotics. It is against the cuts of funds for Education and Science and against the end of the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Research Intrest

Immunology of leishmaniasis , Postdoctoral Genetic Variability of Schistosoma mansoni , Immune response of schistosomiasis patients under treatment , Free radicals and resistance to infections by intracellular parasites, Endodontics, Pathogenesis and regulation of Leishmania response, Microbiota and immune response - gnotobiology.
